The PYP is a non-political, independent non-profit educational organization founded in 1998 in Gaza Strip, Palestine. the PYP is elected from all high schools in Gaza Strip. It is difficult to do it in the West Bank due to the current movement difficulties. The number of PYP members is 21, divided equally between boys and girls. To facilitate the work and the meetings of the PYP, Pchrd for Human Resource development and the Ministry of Education (MoE) have decided to form regional sub-PYPs, one in Rafah Governorate, one in Khan Younis Governorate, a third in the Middle Governorate, a fourth in Gaza Governorate, and a fifth in the Northern Governorate. Each sub parliament has elected its representatives in the Central PYP of 21 members. Each governorate was assigned a number of PYP members according to the size of its population.
