• The child of Abo Elhsen while we were introducing health message about DD the mother said that her baby is suffering from DD since two weeks. Our team said why you didn't take him to the clinic, she said that his father is difficult and don't allow.we asked her about her husband and went to him, we told him that his baby is suffering from DD for two weeks and this is dangerous on his total health it may cause dryness and brain damage, and asked him gently to take his 7 months baby to the clinic.on Saturday the team went to check on the baby we found that his father took him immediately after we left their house. The child now is better but his mother complained that he vomit most of what he eats. Our team asked her to give him small amounts of food and for several times and asked her to concentrate on liquids like natural juices and soaps.
• On 25/11 Mrs. Hanan reqoob was screened as a 2nd trimester pregnant woman (as she thought) but she didn't regiser her pregnancy in the clinic. The HWs directed the woman to the visit the clinic as soon as possible . and explained to her the danger signs of pregnancy and its effects on her and on her fetus. On 2/12 the HWs followed her . She told them that she went to the clinic and found that she was not pregnant, and her pregnant is false. The HW advised the mother to take care of herself and her lactating baby.
• On 24/11 Mrs. Asma' was screened as a mother of a 2 months baby. She was giving him the formula. The HWs talked to her about the benefits of EBF for 6 months. In the follow up visit on 2/12 the HWs found the mother had stopped the formula. The HWs encouraged her for breast feeding her baby for two years and promised to come back for complementary food before 6 months.
• On 24/11 Mrs. Heyam Abo Ali was screened as a mother of a three years child. The daughter was noticed to be anemic. The HWs advised the mother to test her daughter's blood, and promised to come back to follow up the girl. On 1/12 the Hws found that the mother had tested her daughter's blood and she was anemic. The mother already brought iron drops for her daughter, and started to concentrate more on the child's nutrition. she gave her fresh juice and food rich in iron. The mother seemed very happy that she knew her daughter's problem and how to solve it.
• Mrs. Owaida was screened as a 3rd trimester pregnant woman. The HWs introduced to her and to her mother in law the proper health messages about neonatal care and PNC for the mothers. On 3/12 Mrs. Owaida was followed up. The HWs found that the mother in law didn't do any thing that she used to do with the children, like putting Al kohol in the eyes, or putting salt and oil on the umbilical, and the baby path after 24 hours.the mother in law said I will not do what I used to do before because now I know that some of those habits were wrong and of no use but sometimes it may harm.
